Any person diving under University auspices shall observe the provisions of the University Diving Manual and all divers are to be trained as a Scientific Diver. The UCSB Diving Control Board requires that all dive projects submit an annual dive plan summary to the Diving Safety Office detailing any proposed dive project. Please make your general dive plan as detailed as possible and use the Dive Plan Form available below if possible. Some of the current UCSB dive plans and other diving technique standards are also available below. Combining this information together will hopefully serve as a resource for researchers when completing their dive plan and during the training of new scientific divers at UCSB.
