This course is offered twice a year and is designed for an open water scuba diver who is planning to dive for an organization as a scientific diver. Certification includes successful completion of a series of requirements designed to fine tune your diving skills within the classroom, pool and ocean. The course also may include some hands on experience with a few of the research techniques used in the field. Interested divers should review the course requirements along with submitting an on-line application.

Fall's Course Dates:
The 2-full weeks prior to the start of Fall Quarter.

Spring's Course: During UCSB's Spring Break
Tentative Dates: March 6,7; 20-28 & April 3-4

Applications Due at least 1-month prior to start of course
